Features: A narrative driven game told over 7 days with 7 playable characters giving a different perspective each day. Unique particle effects and shaders to help drive a unique but simplistic style.

The Story: I did the jam three friends (two programmers and one artist) that I usually do game jams with, as well as another friend who was also an artist. We settled on a very ambitiously sized project for the amount of time we had as a challenge, as most of our previous game jams were relatively small scoped in terms of play time and tall in terms of mechanics. On top of that, since we were so many programmers I had a few hours (about 2-3) that I could spare to add some unique technical art visuals to the project.

In communication with the artists, I was able to add a unique shader to the villain which was a 2d water shader with a unique normal map to give the desired effect, as well as 3 different particle effects to add motion to the otherwise animation-less scenes.

For the rest of the jam I took on the roll of programmer and scene/event builder along with the other two programmers.

Currently there is a known issue from one of the other coders sections where the automated character selector does not always select the correct character for the day which hurts the story being told; however we have been too busy with university deadlines in the last few weeks to tackle a fix.

Find a playable version of this project on my itch.io page.
